Personal

Born in 1962 in Northern India to a Tibetan couple of teachers living in exile, I grew up in Southern Germany and in German-speaking Switzerland. Since 1991, I have lived in French-speaking Switzerland and built a solid relationship in my couple for 21 years. Thanks to my background as a migrant and my non-linear life journey, I have developed resilience, a talent for languages, and strong cross-cultural and interpersonal skills.

Non-professional commitment

Since 1981, I have been actively involved in Tibet through various positions in the Tibetan Community in Switzerland. By invitation, I give public lectures and tell Tibetan tales collected from my father and my Buddhist teacher. Between 2001 and 2018, I was the contact person in Switzerland for the humanitarian project in Tibet www.tadra.ch which has so far rescued more than 1000 young orphans and street children by accommodating them in two host villages in Eastern Tibet and providing them with solid schooling and vocational training. This project is supported in Switzerland by the “Tadra-Demigh”, a foundation, of which I am the Co-founder and former President.

Since June 2018, I have been the co-leader of the French-speaking section of the Swiss-Tibetan Friendship Association (SAST in French and GSTF in German) which carries out various actions to raise awareness among the public and politicians about the situation of the Tibetan people in Tibet and also in Switzerland > www.gstf.org
